Welcome to Rockville Links Club

We are delighted to welcome guests to Rockville Links Club and trust your visit will be both enjoyable and memorable. Upon arrival, please proceed to the bag drop area located near the first tee, where a member of the Golf Staff will welcome you. Guests visiting the pool or clubhouse may continue to the valet service point. Guests must be accompanied by a Member at all times. To help ensure a pleasant experience for all, we kindly ask that guests familiarize themselves with the following guidelines:

Course Etiquette

One of Rockville’s proudest traditions is the preservation of our golf course in championship-caliber condition. In the spirit of stewardship and respect for the game, Members and guests are kindly asked to replace all divots, repair ball marks on the greens, rake bunkers thoroughly, and brush excess sand from their shoes when exiting a bunker.

Pace of Play

The Golf Committee has instituted a pace of play policy, allowing for rounds to be completed in four hours or less. To uphold this standard, all players are encouraged to adopt a “ready golf” philosophy, promoting an uninterrupted rhythm and efficient pace of play. It is the collective responsibility of each group to remain mindful of the players ahead and to remain in reasonable proximity, thereby preserving the flow and enjoyment of the game for all.

Practice Facility

Practice is strictly prohibited from any tee, fairway, or regular green, as well as beyond the established boundaries of the Practice Area and its designated green. Within the Practice Area, only irons may be employed; the use of woods and utility clubs is expressly forbidden, without exception. Golfers are required to strike balls solely from the designated turf areas situated within the demarcated hitting stations. Hitting from the grass area in front of the range mats and/or over the practice green is strictly prohibited.

Dress Code

Adherence to proper golf attire is compulsory and anticipated. The Links’ dress policy has been established to uphold the tradition, decorum, and integrity befitting both our Club and the game of golf. While enjoying the Club’s facilities, members and guests are expected to dress in a traditional and dignified attire.

Unless otherwise noted for specific events, the standard dress code is classified as “Casual.” The categories of dress are as follows:

Black Tie

Formal evening wear, including tuxedo or dinner jacket, as specified for designated events

Formal

Jacket and tie are required for gentlemen; commensurate formal attire for ladies

Casual

Attire must reflect a polished and respectful appearance:

Shirts: Collared shirts, turtlenecks, or mock turtlenecks are required
- All shirts must remain tucked in while on Club grounds
- T-shirts are permissible only within the Pool area
Trousers and Shorts:
- Either tailored long pants or shorts of appropriate length are acceptable
- Cargo shorts are not permitted
Headwear:
- Hats must be worn facing forward on the Golf Course or at the Pool
- Hats are not permitted within the Clubhouse at any time

Prohibited Attire

To preserve the Club’s standards, the following garments are strictly prohibited on Club premises:

Denim of any kind, including jeans, dungarees, and white denim
Cargo shorts
T-shirts (outside the Pool area)
Sleeveless shirts or tank tops
Sweat suits, track suits or running suits

Electronic Devices

To preserve the atmosphere of decorum that defines our Club, the use and visible display of cellular phones and other communication devices is limited to essential and discreet communication only. All electronic devices must be set to silent or vibrate mode while on Club property.

Tablets and Cell Phones are NOT permitted in the following areas:

Main Dining Room
Rockville Room
Cocktail Lounge
Mixed Grille
Patio
